You make the impossible possible
As a Sales Manager Development & Engineering, you develop and execute the commercial strategy in alignment with the NTS strategy. You translate them into a long-term business development plan, and annual sales plans, to achieve the turnover and margin targets and the intended market share. Further professionalization and managing the sales organization within Development & Engineering is also part of your job. You establish commercial targets and objectives in consultation with management, you develop and implement the commercial strategy and develop a strategy on how to use the available technical competencies in the market with respect to market opportunities. You acquire assignments / orders and carry out acquisition and relationship management. Furthermore, you act as (key) account manager for some customers. You manage the (D&E) Account Managers to achieve sales results and do the inventory and follow-up of personnel and training needs within the department. You review current projects together with the Managing Director and the Portfolio Manager periodically and discuss and follow-up projects with the individual Account Managers. It’s your drive to become better and better and make the impossible possible together.
You have it in you
- You have a technical Bachelor or Master degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or Physics
- You have a minimum of 10 years of working experience with at least 5 years of experience in senior account management in high-tech industry, successful business, or product management or in a mechatronics OEM or supplier
- You have commercial experience with development projects for a broad range of customers, ranging from start-ups to corporate organizations
- You understand the internal dynamics/budgeting and decision-making processes of these companies
- You have a background in technology/mechatronics/software (a commercial background is a plus)
- You are willing to travel abroad (25% Europe, 5% US and Asia)
- You have great communication skills and speak English on professional level (some knowledge of German and/or French is useful)
