What you'll be doing

As Information Officer, you play a key role between the IT organisation and the user organisation. You build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, at both board and management level, in order to fully understand the needs of the business. By maintaining an overview of the entire organisation, you determine where needs and priorities lie and how IT applications can support further professionalisation within NTS while accelerating growth.

You do all this with a focus on modernisation and automation. You formulate the application strategy and roadmap, which you then roll out in the organisation. This relates primarily to ERP, PLM/PDM, HR, MES, CRM, CAD, etc. One of the major change processes you will be responsible for as part of your job is the implementation of a new ERP system. To ensure its success, you make full use of innovation and of existing and new processes to find a standard that is future-proof and scalable. In achieving these goals, you closely monitor deadlines, budget and quality through strong project management.

You lead a team of application administrators, whereby you manage and guide ongoing matters and projects. Because of your ability to oversee the whole operation, you are the ideal person to speak with application suppliers with the aim of including them in our strategy and future ambitions. You report to the CFO.

What you bring to the table

As the ideal candidate to take on the role of Information Officer, you would describe yourself approximately as follows: After earning your bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent, in IT, Business Administration or Business Economics, you further expanded your knowledge in the field of IT, Business Information or Application Management. You have gained at least 8 years' experience at different companies in the field of IT management, application management or in a similar role. Over the years, you have successfully attended further studies or training courses in project management, such as Prince2 or LEAN. You are familiar with international technology standards such as ITIL and BiSL. You have an affinity with the core business processes in commerce, finance engineering and logistics/production.

As a person you are thorough, have strong communication skills and act decisively. Stakeholder management comes naturally to you, which helps you get others on board with your actions. Your speak your languages well (at least Dutch and English) and like to stay informed on developments in your field of expertise. You see opportunities where others see obstacles and you don't shy away from tackling them with enthusiasm!

The competences you recognise yourself in are:
